Nielsen recently conducted a report that found Facebook to be the most popular app for Android Smartphone’s and tablets in terms of actual third-party software, the Android Market being at the very top.
According to the survey, 80% of Android users between 18-24 years of age use the application making it at the very top within this age group. For ages 25-34, 81% of Android powered device users access Facebook, and for ages 25-34, 77% of Android users access Facebook.
These numbers are very encouraging for social media marketing campaigns since Facebook is virtually at their fingertips any time of the day. This makes providing constant social content on businesses social media sites imperative and to a company’s advantage since consumers are constantly logging in to their Facebook on a daily basis.
